Former VGK Chief Marketing Officer Brian Killingsworth, the man who guided the growth of the Vegas Golden Knights brand into an international money-making enterprise, is on the move to Dallas where he will start a new job as chief marketing officer for sports consulting company Legends.
Legends website said, “In his new role, Killingsworth will oversee Legend’s marketing and brand strategy, communications, sales campaigns and marketing metrics, digital platforms and creative services team. He will work closely with clients to provide marketing and branding consulting to heighten the customer experience, as well as develop revenue-generating marketing campaigns and capabilities to drive awareness and sales.”
Killingsworth started as chief marketing office of the Golden Knights in the summer of 2017 and was responsible for all VGK branding, marketing, fan development and merchandise sales. He did everything from developing the VGK mascot, Chance, to creating a global Knights fan program to running the team’s popular Thanksgiving sales programs.

Killingsworth has quite the varied resume over nearly 20 years of working in marketing roles for teams in Major League Baseball, the National Football League and the NHL.
He came to the Golden Knights from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he worked as chief marketing officer. Killingsworth knew the Tampa Bay market well. He spent 10 years working as the senior director of marketing and promotions for the MLB Tampa Bay Rays before he worked as VP for marketing and brand strategy for the NFL Rams and then the Buccaneers .

Legends is known for consulting with stadiums, teams, college sports programs and leagues on a variety of consulting topics like sales, sponsorships, hospitality, food. naming rights deals and merchandise.
Legends also has connections to Las Vegas through partnerships with Allegiant Stadium and UFC, according to its website.
