After Las Vegas-based Caesars Entertainment cut a naming rights deal for the New Orleans Saints’ Superdome, Caesars was back at it in Louisiana with a multi-year partnership making making Caesars Sportsbook the exclusive gaming and sportsbook partner of the Louisiana State University athletics department.

It’s a landmark sportsbook alliance with a Power Five athletics department, facilitated by LSU’s third-party multi-media rights holder, Playfly Sports.

Caesars Sportsbook receives marketing and sponsorship assets from LSU Athletics as part of the deal.

They include naming rights for the new Caesars Sportsbook Skyline Club at Tiger Stadium; signage throughout Tiger Stadium beginning Saturday for the LSU-Central Michigan football game; and additional signage at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center and Alex Box Stadium.

Ceasars will also get exclusive presence on the LSU Sports Mobile App.

Broadcast and digital sponsorship rights plus visibility for Caesars Sportsbook throughout all of LSU’s 21 men’s and women’s sports programs are also included in the multi-year deal.

Caesars Sportsbook customers also will get opportunities to attend LSU athletic events and access VIP hospitality at Tiger Stadium.

The sportsbook deal with LSU strengthens Caesars’ footprint in Louisiana, which includes the recent commitments to large-scale renovations transforming Harrah’s New Orleans to Caesars New Orleans and Isle of Capri Lake Charles to Horseshoe Lake Charles. It also comes after the stadium naming rights news of the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

Betting is out of this world

Jared Isaacman, the 38-year-old founder and CEO of Shift4 Payments and Inspiration4 Mission Commander, made the first sports bet from outer space to Las Vegas with BetMGM at MGM Grand.  With sports betting increasing in the U.S.,  Isaacman teamed up with BetMGM to launch sports betting into a new orbit. The two wagers placed from space via a proxy bettor at MGM Grand’s BetMGM Sportsbook in Las Vegas were:

  • $4,000 on Washington Football Team vs the New York Giants to hit the over of 40.5
  • $4,000 on Philadelphia Eagles as 2022 NFL Champions

“This is a truly historic moment. Thanks to Shift4 Payments for the incredible honor of asking BetMGM to participate,” said Matt Prevost, BetMGM’s chief revenue officer, BetMGM. “On top of the excitement of bets being made from space, we’re even more thrilled to be able to contribute and raise awareness for a great cause in St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.”

All winnings from Isaacman’s bets placed from space will go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. BetMGM has also donated $25,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Additional donations are encouraged and can be made directly on St.Jude.orghttps://www.stjude.org/donate/i4.html
