Las Vegas Raiders and football fans will get their first look inside Allegiant Stadium for a football game on August 14, when the Raiders host the Seattle Seahawks in a preseason game.
Raiders owner Mark Davis did not allow fans inside the 65,000-seat, domed stadium during the 2020 pandemic season because Davis said if all season ticketholders can’t attend Raiders games, then none would. Davis himself did not attend any of the eight regular season home games during the Raiders’ inaugural season in Las Vegas.
Here are the dates for the Raiders’ other two preseason games: August 21 at the Los Angeles Rams and August 29 at the San Francisco 49ers.
The stadium, a $2 billion project built with $750 million in public dollars, is going to see more action as the COVID-19 pandemic protocols loosen.
On July 10, the stadium is scheduled to host a packed venue for a Garth Brooks concert.
There is also talk of a Fury-Wilder 3 mega boxing match at Allegiant Stadium on July 24.
Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak is aiming for 100 percent capacity in June, so the stadium will soon see many more visitors this year than in 2020.
