Golden Knights Will Increase Arena Fan Capacity For Monday’s VGK vs Minnesota Game 5 To More Than 11,000 From 8,683

By Alan Snel of LVSportsBiz.com

The Vegas Golden Knights are increasing fan attendance capacity for Monday’s Game 5 playoff showdown between the Knights and the Minnesota Wild at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The Knights anticipate having more than 11,000 fans in the building, through the number is “fluid at this point,” VGK spokesman Eric Tosi told LVSportsBiz.com Friday afternoon. It would be the biggest crowd for a VGK game this year as the team navigates COVID-19 protocols. Fans will still have to wear masks and fill out the CLEAR app health questionnaire.

For Games 1 and 2 on Sunday and Tuesday, the attendance capacity was 8,683 — or 50 percent of the official fixed seat capacity at T-Mobile Arena.

The official fixed seat capacity is 17,367. The Knights offered the media in a press release a website link that fans can use to buy Game 5 playoff tickets, which typically cost hundreds of dollars.

The VGK ticket website was busy Friday.

Fans able to access the VGK ticket site found some bargains, like this one:

Allegiant Stadium and UFC have both announced 100 percent capacity for events on July 10 when Garth Brooks  performs a concert at the stadium and Conor McGregor visits T-Mobile Arena for a big UFC fight show on the same day.

Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak is aiming for 100 percent capacity starting June 1 — which is only 10 days away. The LA Dodgers have already announced full capacity for home games starting June 15 at Dodger Stadium.

Game 4 for VGK vs Minnesota is Saturday in St. Paul. The Knights lead the Best-of-7 first round series, two games to one.
