NFL In Las Vegas: Raiders Going Primetime On Monday Night Football At Allegiant Stadium Sept. 13

By Alan Snel of LVSportsBiz.com

This time, there should be fans.

The Las Vegas Raiders will open the 2021 season with a Monday Night Football showdown with the Baltimore Ravens at Allegiant Stadium on Sept. 13.

Last year, the Raiders played their first game on a national Monday Night broadcast, too, upsetting the New Orleans Saints.

But there were no fans in the new Allegiant Stadium because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Raiders owner Mark Davis said he didn’t attend any games either, choosing instead to watch the games on TV from the team headquarters in Henderson.

Davis said this year he’s hoping 65,000 fans will be packing the domed stadium on the west side of I-15 across from Mandalay Bay.

The rest of the NFL schedule is coming out at 2 PM PT.

The NFL is also holding its draft event in Las Vegas in April 2022.
