Raiders Hawking Leatherwood Jerseys and Credit Cards During NFL Draft Week

By Alan Snel of LVSportsBiz.com

The unofficial definition of the NFL Draft is another way to make money and the Las Vegas Raiders didn’t waste any time hitting up its season ticket holders to see if they would like to buy a $324.99 jersey of its first round draft pick, offensive lineman Alex Leatherwood.

Hey, there’s no harm to ask — or offer a deal, right?

The NFL has turned its Draft event into big business as the league gets cities like Las Vegas, Nashville and Cleveland to host the college player selection event by having the Draft held at its most popular tourist location. In Las Vegas’ case, the center of the Strip at Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Avenue will be closed off and Draft events will be staged at the Bellagio and Caesars.

The Raiders were also peddling their season ticketholders with credit cards deals, too, this week.
