The Henderson Silver Knights’ new arena off Green Valley Parkway in Henderson has an official naming rights deal: the $84 million, 6,000-seat venue will be called the Dollar Loan Center.
It’s a 22-year naming rights partnership between Dollar Loan Center and the Vegas Golden Knights, parent of the Henderson Silver Knights of the American Hockey League.
The city of Henderson and the Vegas Golden Knights are each contributing $42 million for the $84 million project to rebuild the old Henderson Pavilion into the all-purpose events arena, now called Dollar Loan Center. The project is scheduled to be completed in spring 2022.
The financial terms were not disclosed. But I can’t imagine it being more than the $80 million that the LVCVA, the local tourism agency, gave to Howard Hughes Corporation for the Las Vegas Aviators minor league baseball park built in Summerlin. Here’s Golden Knights team president Kerry Bubolz discussing the naming rights deal:
Dollar Loan Center (DLC) was founded in 1998 by Charles “Chuck” Brennan, still the majority owner of the company as well as being the Founder/CEO. The first branch was in Las Vegas and the company expanded from 1999 through 2008, with locations in the Reno/Carson City area, Salt Lake City, Utah and in the state of South Dakota. In 2012, Dollar Loan Center expanded into California and the company has 56 locations throughout Nevada and Utah. Here’s Brennan’s comments for LVSportsBiz.com:
A Knights release outlined the deal: “As the official short-term lender of the Henderson Silver Knights and Vegas Golden Knights, Dollar Loan Center will receive prominent exposure with both teams at NHL and AHL venues across the valley, including the Orleans Arena, the Dollar Loan Center upon completion, Lifeguard Arena in Henderson, T-Mobile Arena and City National Arena. DLC will also be featured across HSK and VGK digital and broadcast assets being the presenting sponsor of the VGK Radio Network, which spans 18 markets in Nevada, Utah and California. Additionally, DLC will provide substantial cash prizes for Knights fans through various promotions.”
The Silver Knights are currently playing at Orleans Arena while the new arena in Henderson is being built. The VGK has also built a new community ice center with two rinks in downtown Henderson off Water Street called Lifeguard Arena. That’s where the Silver Knights practice and it’s about seven miles from the new arena being built at 200 S. Green Valley Parkway near The District at Green Valley Ranch.
Brennan’s prepared statement: “Our 250,000 customers and staff LOVE Hockey in the Desert . . . We are thrilled to blend the brands of the Henderson Silver Knights and The DLC. We have been partners on many levels with the Vegas Golden Knights for years and can’t wait to bring it to the next level with HSK!”

The Dollar Loan Center arena in Henderson will also house the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame.
