UNLV Gets Easy 80-52 Win Over Air Force In Mountain West Tourney Wednesday

By Alan Snel of LVSportsBiz.com

It’s been a bizarre, disjointed and mediocre basketball season for UNLV, which went 33 games without games because of the novel coronavirus.

The Runnin’ Rebels entered Wednesday’s Mountain West tourney game against Air Force with an 11-14 record.

But Air Force is even a more lame than UNLV, and its shooting was cold at Thomas & Mack Center, where UNLV cruised to an easy 80–52 win over the military academy based on Colorado Springs, Colorado.

There were no public fans, though the Thomas & Mack usher guarding the media in sections 104 and 105 yelled out cheers and advice to the UNLV players like advising them when to shoot the basketball.

UNLV now moves on to play Utah State Thursday.
