The Raiders’ sparkling new domed football stadium is open for business and a Sept. 21 home-opener vs the New Orleans Saints, but they’re still doing work on the 65,000-seat venue.
On Saturday morning, a crane was in place on the north side of Allegiant Stadium for work being done on the Al Davis torch that was plainly seen as the massive doors were open yesterday. A worker said the crane was working on the big torch Saturday morning.
The Raiders have staged two practices at the palatial new stadium, which includes a retractable natural turf that slides into the venue for Raiders games and prcatices.
Here’s a look at it Saturday.
It’s also interesting to see that MGM Resorts International, which owns the hotel properties across from the stadium on the east side of Interstate 15 on the Strip, is working hard to entice sports fans to use the MGM Resorts betting app.
Check out the MGM Resorts sports betting advertisement on the west side of the Luxor.
