Never underestimate the Golden Knights’ thirst for revenue as the VGK are pitching fans on buying a suite at T-Mobile Arena to watch a potential Game 6 between the Knights and Vancouver Canucks on Thursday.
The Golden Knights today emailed fans about the deal — a watch party offer for Thursday’s game that relies in the VGK losing Game 5 tonight when the Knights can close out the Best-of-7 Western Conference semifinals with a win over the spunky upstart Canucks. The Knights have won three of the first four games against Vancouver and have won 10 out of 12 overall postseason games in the NHL pandemic bubble in Edmonton.
Here’s the suite playoff game pitch sent to Golden Knights fans. It’s good for a VGK vs Vancouver playoff game on Thursday for up to 10 fans per suite with food and beverage included in the deal. And social distancing is part of the arrangement, too.
The rest of ad says, “The wait is over. Your Golden Knights continue their run in the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs, and The Fortress is ready to host your private watch party!”
No cost is listed to secure a luxury suite at the arena, where the game will be shown in the suite and also on the center jumbotron scoreboard. Some fans have mentioned on VGK sites and pages that it’s $2,000 per suite. Here’s more from the sales pitch:
