VGK Coach DeBoer On Team’s Intensity Level In Bubble: ‘These Guys Are Here For Business To Try And Win A Stanley Cup’

By Alan Snel of LVSportsBiz.com

It’s click a link to pose a question to Vegas Golden Knights coach Pete DeBoer and players like Mark Stone and Alex Tuch in the era of COVID-19.

That’s reporting life these days during a novel coronavirus pandemic from the home headquarters of LVSportsBiz.com, where an NHL PR staffer voice from Edmonton comes through my laptop and signals my move to click the “unmute” button and ask away from 1,459 miles away from the NHL postseason bubble north of the border.

After the Vegas Golden Knights Thursdsay came back to defeat the St. Louis Blues, 6-4, in the second of three round-robin games to determine seeding for the Western Conference eight-team playoffs, it was my turn to ask DeBoer a question. I inquired about the team’s intensity level and the impact of playing in the pandemic bubble on that intensity.

“Our intensity level is very high. These guys are here for business to try and win a Stanley Cup,” DeBoer said on my laptop and later on TV screens on the VGK TV cable network. “They’re all in.”

Take a listen:

The Knights play the Colorado Avalanche Saturday to see if they get the number one or number two seed in the Western Conference. Both the Golden Knights and Colorado have won their two round-robin games so far against Dallas and St. Louis.
