Raider on the Roof: NFL Team Has Roof in Place at Allegiant Stadium

By Alan Snel of LVSportsBiz.com

Well, it looks like the roof to the Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium is done. All the local TV traffic guys who fly in helicopters near the Strip enjoy keeping up with the latest on the roof for the stadium that is scheduled to be completed July 31.

This photo came from video taken by Channel 3 this week. The stadium will hold about 65,000 fans, but will fans be allowed in sports venues when the Raiders start hosting preseason games in August? It’s an unknown during this difficult virus pandemic era.

Speaking of the Raiders, you might recall that owner Mark Davis mentioned a few months ago that the new Las Vegas Raiders licensed merchandise would be unveiled during the time of the NFL Draft.

LVSportsBiz hears the Raiders plan to move forward with the branded Las Vegas logo gear later this week when the draft is staged through video conferencing and draft pick announcements by NFL Commish Roger Goodell. But we did see today on the NFL’s own shopping site that “Oakland” is part of the Raiders cap.

A local retailer told LVSportsBiz.com that they have not heard anything from suppliers regarding Las Vegas Raiders merch. But if we hear anything, we will pass it along.

Also, Alan Snel is interviewing Chris Hartweg, publisher of Team Marketing Report at 1 p.m. for a Facebook Live report on his Facebook Page and Jon Taffer, of Paramount’s Bar Rescue, at 2 p.m. on Facebook Live. Tune in.
