Want To Become A Las Vegas Raiders Cheerleader? Raiders Holding Virtual Auditions
The Las Vegas Raiders will not allow a novel coronavirus pandemic get in the way of hiring cheerleaders to root on the NFL team in Sin City.
The Raiders are holding virtual auditions. The Raiders offer these tips for the virtual audition (my personal favorite is “face the camera.”)
“We recommend,” the Raiders say, “the following for your audition video submission”:
- Film your audition video in a space with good lighting.
- Perform facing the camera.
- Any area in your home with space to dance is acceptable.
“The Raiders are searching for enthusiastic and talented candidates for their renowned public relations and entertainment team – The Raiderettes. Sign up for the chance to become a part of the first team to represent the Las Vegas Raiders,” the team announced officially Thursday.
The Raiderette practices will be held in Henderson for the 2020 football season.
If you are lucky enough to land a Raiderette job, duties will require you to attend all home games, which may require traveling, as well as appearances throughout Nevada.
Here’s an email with questions: Raiderettes@RAIDERS.com
And you can register here to audition.
And there will be an in-person audition, too.
“We are still planning on hosting an in-person Final Auditions on Saturday, June 6, 2020. The health and safety of our candidates and staff are very important to us. Our staff will be in touch with Finals candidates with all information,” the team wrote.
Also. consider this: “As a result of the shelter in place orders issued by state and local governments, we are not conducting any in-person prep classes this year. We will be posting videos of current Raiderettes offering dance tutorials to help familiarize you with the process,” the team said.
The Vegas Golden Knights received quite a few cheerleader applicants, too.
There are no fees to apply to become a Raiderette.
The frequently asked questions do not include whether the Raiderettes get paid.
