UNLV Football Season Ticket Signup Site Doesn’t Mention Allegiant Stadium Or Sam Boyd Stadium

Raiders new stadium home -- Allegiant Stadium

The UNLV 2020 football season ticket sign-up site link lists various bits of information like it’s a $50 deposit per seat and that the deposit is non-refundable.

What’s not listed?

The stadium where the UNLV football team is playing.

UNLV doesn’t know where all the home football games will be played in 2020.

Two UNLV football non-conference home games in the first half of September that UNLV said initially would be played at new Allegiant Stadium may have to be staged at Sam Boyd Stadium, the venue that the Rebels thought they were leaving behind in 2019.

Take a look at the UNLV football ticket site in the press release. No Allegiant Stadium. And no Sam Boyd Stadium either.

This link was provided in a UNLV football press release that was sent Monday to inform fans about a “UNLV Football Signing Day Live” show scheduled for Wednesday at 12 noon Las Vegas time.

The NFL Las Vegas Raiders, which are building the $1.97 billion stadium project, are running the venue and are still negotiating with UNLV about whether the UNLV vs Louisiana Tech game Sept. 5 and UNLV vs Arizona State Sept. 12 will be played in Allegiant Stadium.

The UNLV vs Cal game Aug. 29 is set for Allegiant Stadium, so no issue there.

But the Raiders say they might have some schedule issues with the UNLV home games Sept. 5 and Sept. 12, and there is the chance those contests will have to be played at Sam Boyd Stadium. UNLV football said goodbye to Sam Boyd Stadium Nov. 23 with a big ceremony with former Rebels quarterback great Randall Cunningham joining some 200 football alums at the last game there.

Back on Aug. 23, the UNLV football site was selling season tickets for Allegiant Stadium  but there was no mention that any of the games could be played at Sam Boyd Stadium.

But things have changed and the final Raiders-UNLV negotiations will eventually shed light on where all the UNLV football games will be played in 2020.
