Las Vegas-based UFC, the MMA fight show promoter, has unveiled a redesign of its UFC Fight Pass subscription streaming service with a new user experience, better functionality, and a few other new features. UFC launched Fight Pass in 2013.
Along with improvements to the search function, Fight Pass other design changes include: video quality is now available in 1080p, a 24/7 linear programming feed can be watched and a desktop viewing option allows users to watch multiple streams at the same time. Additionally, Downloads to Go feature that provides viewing without an internet connection along with other enhancements.
“We broke new ground when we originally launched Fight Pass, and we continue to innovate by adding features that fight fans are going to love,” UFC President Dana White said in a press release. “The redesigned Fight Pass offers upgrades like 1080p video, multi-view for desktop, improved search, and coming early next year, ‘Downloads to Go,’ so you can watch Fight Pass content without an internet connection. Add in the world’s largest fight library with 17,000 fights, every UFC fight ever, and over 1,000 hours of live combat sports, and Fight Pass continues to be a must-have streaming service for combat sports fans.”
Boxing heavyweight Deontay Wilder’s return to Las Vegas live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena generated a live gate of $4,063,141.50, according to the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
The unbeaten heavyweight from Tuscaloosa, Alabama racked up his tenth successful heavyweight title defense following a vicious KO seventh round knockout of Luis Ortiz.
Their Nov. 23 Fox Sports Pay-Per-View headliner created 7,403 tickets sold, with another 1,726 complimentary tickets issued for total of 9,129 in attendance.
Final ticket sales reflect a 538 percent increase from the last time Wilder (42-0-1, 41KOs) headlined at the Grand Garden Arena in a win over Bermane Stiverne in Jan. 2015. That event produced a live gate of $755,200 from 4,074 tickets sold according to the NSAC.
