Always on the hunt for new revenue sources and new fans, the Vegas Golden Knights have launched a new global fan program called “VGK Worldwide” — and membership will cost $120 for anyone on earth to join.

As the Golden Knights prepare to play the San Jose Sharks in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, the Knights are billing the worldwide fan initiative as a “digitally-based global community that will serve and unite Golden Knights fans around the world.”

Here’s what you get for $120: A custom kit in the mail with “specialty premium items” showcasing a brand-new logo and exclusive access to a #VGKWorldwide Facebook Group open only to members. Inside the box, fans will receive a VGK-branded logo goodies — a hat, flag, T-shirt, luggage tag, aluminum water bottle, poker chip, playing cards and lapel pin.

As part of the VGK Worldwide launch, the Golden Knights are debuting a new logo exclusive to the members.

Here’s team president Kerry Bubolz in a prepared statement: “In the past two seasons, the Golden Knights have developed a strong international fan base made up of people around the globe. The launch of VGK Worldwide is a way for us to celebrate that audience and offer them a unique way to show their support. Through the introduction of a brand-new exclusive logo, specialty merchandise items and a Facebook Group serving as a worldwide meeting place, VGK Worldwide is weaving a golden thread to unite our fans on a national and international scale.”

The Golden Knights explained, “The #VGKWorldwide Facebook Group will serve as home to unique, exclusive Golden Knights content, special Q&As, fan meet-ups around the world, and a place to discuss the Golden Knights with fellow supporters. The Golden Knights are one of the first teams to use this digital space as a collective, organic worldwide meeting place for international fans.”

Members will also be invited to drop their pin on the VGK Worldwide map which showcases Golden Knights fans and where they’re supporting from. The flag can be displayed in bars, restaurants and photos around the world.

Fans in more than 110 countries have purchased licensed VGK logo gear, according to Fanatics.
