Fun-loving, former NBA team-owning sports fan Joe Maloof has kept a low profile ever since the Vegas Golden Knights began their historic inaugural season.
Maloof, the Golden Knights’ minority owner along with brothers, helped Bill Foley launch this NHL franchise that has captured the hearts of Las Vegas with a stunning start that has catapulted the team atop the NHL’s Western Conference standings.
But Maloof, who enjoys talking with fans and was known to schmooze with NBA fans in Sacramento when he and his brothers owned the NBA Kings for 15 years, has rarely spoken with the media here in Las Vegas after the Golden Knights began their historic season Oct. 10. But he took time Wednesday afternoon to meet LVSportsBiz.com in front of T-Mobile Arena to discuss Las Vegas’ dynamic sports market. You’ll enjoy Maloof’s observations on the local market.
LVSportsBiz.com also plans to catch up with Maloof in a few months.
