It was lining up as an interesting meeting with some intense discussions, but today the Las Vegas stadium board has cancelled Thursday’s meeting.
Stadium board consultant Jeremy Aguero of Applied Analysis wrote to board chairman Steve Hill and members that more time is needed by the Raiders and stadium board staff to finish documents related to a final Raiders stadium development and personal seat license agreements.
So, the next meeting will be Feb. 15.

The stadium board was also going to appoint a person to an oversight committee that is charged under the state stadium law to monitor the Raiders stadium community benefits plan. This plan, developed by the Raiders, spells out hiring targets for minorities and women and has created much heated community debate. LVSportsBiz.com reported on the community benefits plan months ago.
Some stadium board members support fellow board member Ken Evans, who is the Urban Chamber of Commerce president, as the appointment to the community benefits oversight panel.
Other stadium board members supported Sean Stewart of the Nevada Contractors Association. The LVRaidersReport.com Raiders website reported on possible in-fighting over the stadium board’s appointment to community benefits plan oversight committee.
LVSportsBiz.com and LVRaidersReport.com are planning a live discussion that will be streamed from the Raiders stadium site Thursday.
