Golden Knights Coach Gallant Will Fine Players Who Talk Playoffs — But Team Business Staff Is Mentioning Playoffs

Vegas Golden Knights Coach Gerard “One Game At A Time” Gallant doesn’t want his players talking about playoffs.
But that doesn’t mean the team’s business side can’t mention it.
The Golden Knights said Wednesday the team is starting a waiting list for fans who want to buy season tickets and all they need to do is make a deposit that starts as low as $100. (This deal is only for fans who do not have full or partial season ticket deals.) This being the Golden Knights, they’re not actually calling it a season ticket waiting list. It’s dubbed the “Can’t Wait List.”
And here’s the kicker, straight from the Golden Knights’ own press release: “If applicable, access to purchase 2017-18 Stanley Cup Playoff tickets will be made available on a limited basis to depositors.”
Yes, indeed, we have a sighting of “Stanley Cup playoff” on the Golden Knights home front.
The Golden Knights have won eight consecutive games and have the most points in the NHL’s Western Conference.
Gallant just said the other day to the media that he will fine any player who mentions playoffs at this middle stage of the season. Gallant mentioned “fine” with a half-smile, but the coach does enjoy repeating it’s just “one game at a time.”
The Golden Knights have about 14,000 season ticket holders and are looking to allow more to join the ticket holder ranks.
“The overwhelming support we have received from our fans this season has been unbelievable and we are excited to welcome more fans into the Golden Knights family,” said Todd Pollock, Vegas Golden Knights vice president of ticketing and suites.
Here’s the deal on the deposits: Mezzanine/Upper Bowl seating (100 & 200 level) for $100/seat, lower level for $250/seat, and $1,000/seat for exclusive premium seating (suites, 4-6 seat opera boxes, 4 seat terrace tables). Memberships start as low as $30/game for the 2018-19 season and all deposits are refundable.
