The Vegas Golden Knights will be rolling out some special features to highlight the first home game played in Las Vegas by a major-league pro team Tuesday.
At 3:30 p.m., Golden Knights players, coaches and execs will walk a gold carpet from the plaza into T-Mobile Arena.
Then at 4:45 p.m., fans will gather at the New York-New York Brooklyn Bridge on the Strip and march to the arena’s front doors, which open at 5 p.m.
And to honor the victims of the Oct. 1 country music festival shootings on the Strip, a member of the Route 91 Harvest Festival Team will lead in the singing of the national anthem to be joined by 14 other members of the Harvest Festival Team.
Cirque du Soleil will perform during the intermission between periods one and two.
UFC 216 and the UNLV football team held emotional events Saturday night to honor the victims and first responders from the Oct. 1 shooting massacre that killed 58 country music fans and injured nearly 500 more.
Expect an electric and emotional night at T-Mobile Arena. The Golden Knights opened their inaugural season on the road last week with 2-1 victories in Dallas and Arizona.
