AT&T SportsNet, which has the regional TV rights to broadcast Vegas Golden Knights games in the Las Vegas market, has expanded into Las Vegas and Nevada on DirecTV, U-verse and CenturyLink Prism TV. AT&T will also provide VGK games in parts of California and Mohave County, Arizona on DirecTV, U-verse and CenturyLink.
AT&T SportsNet will be available to subscribers of those TV services starting Friday, Sept. 15. In a prepared statement, Golden Knights President Kerry Bubolz said, “We are extremely proud to have AT&T SportsNet as our local television rights holder and thrilled to have the first distribution deals finalized. There is a great deal of excitement for Vegas Golden Knights hockey in Las Vegas and throughout our broadcast territory. As more of these distribution agreements are completed, we know the excitement will continue to grow.”
Unfortunately, AT&T SportsNet and Cox Communications, which provides cable TV services in the Las Vegas area, still have not reached a deal, which means thousands of Golden Knights fans with Cox cable will be disappointed and upset if there is no AT&T SportsNet-Cox agreement. AT&T will have 75 live Golden Knights telecasts, starting with four pre-season games, and will be available to local area customers who subscribe to a viewing package that includes AT&T SportsNet such as DirecTV and Century Link.
AT&T SportsNet will be available on DirecTV channel 684, U-verse channels 757 (SD) and 1757 (HD), and CenturyLink channels 760 (SD) and 1760 (HD).
