Nevada Athletic Commission Chief Expects No Problems Sanctioning Money vs. Conor for Aug. 26 Megafight

Bob Bennett, Nevada Athletic Commission executive director, said he doesn't anticipate any problems with his agency sanctioning the crossover superfight between MMA star Conor McGregor and undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather. "I see no reason not to approve it as the executive director," Bennett said. Bennett, the ex-Marine and former boxing judge, said both fighters need to get licensed and medicals plus he needs written confirmation that Mayweather and McGregor have a contracted agreement for the Aug. 26 boxing match in Las Vegas. "We don't go to work on this fight until we get the documents to regulate this event," Bennett told LVSportsBiz.com Wednesday.
